The DOE course instructs students to identify and quantify the sources of variation, develop specifications and optimize design and process parameters.

Efficiency of these methods results in fewer experiments and lower cost of experimentation. The direct benefit of DOE is reduced research and development effort as well as reduced set-up costs.
