California State Funding for Training

California has a statewide economic development program designed to support the overall California economy by ensuring that employers have the trained workers needed to compete in the global economy, especially manufacturing. The program essentially performs the role of a statewide economic development partner by collaborating with business, labor, and other public entities in fulfilling its legislative purpose and mission to fund training of the California work force for California employers.

Workforce America can assist you in gaining access to the funds by helping you develop a contract with the State where the state could offset some or all of your training costs. This, of course, is subject to your qualifying for the funds.

Some of the Requirements:

  • Must be a California Employer
  • Training must be for California Employees
  • Class/Lab/On The Job Training must be at least 40 hours in length
  • Trainees must be full time employees
  • Trainees must remain on the job for at least 90 days past the last training date
If you are interested in obtaining funding for your training program please call us at (408) 647-1223, or EMAIL US.
